Rumored to be dead, the Al-Qaeda leader reappears in a 9/11 video and discusses Kashmir once again.

Despite reports of his demise, Ayman Al-Zawahiri has reemerged in a film commemorating the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Zawahiri gave an hour-long address, the majority of which was devoted to Palestine and Kashmir, but which was also released by Al-Qaeda’s As-Sahab media. Al-Qaeda has mentioned Kashmir in its pronouncements for the second time in recent weeks. Earlier, the freedom of Kashmir had been demanded by al-Qaeda in its message of congratulations to the Taliban for taking control of Afghanistan. After the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, there are fears in India that terrorism might spread to Kashmir.
